  • When will the Cottages be ready? We expect the Cottages to be ready for our first guests in April 2025. Preliminary work has already commenced.
  • How can I book? The easiest way to book is to use the CONTACT US FORM below. We will provide a firm quotation and can accommodate bookings for either Cottage or both together if you have a larger party.
  • What is the expected cost of the Cottage per night? We expect the cost to be around KES 20,000 per cottage per night, with a supplement for the Peak Season of Christmas/New Year. Prices include the current Kenyan VAT of 16%.
  • How near is the main Watamu Beach? The Cottages are about 5-10 minutes from the beach which is readily accessible. We can also arrange transport by tuk tuk as and when needed. Just ask!!!
  • How many people can each cottage accommodate? Each cottage has two bedrooms with their own private facilities. One bedroom has a double bed and the other 2 single beds, which can be joined together. An extra bed can be added to each room.
  • Is Air-conditioning included? The cottages have air-conditioning units in both bedroom. The use of these is not included in the basic price. We charge a supplement of KES 1,000 per day per cottage for the use of the air-conditioning.
  • Is Housekeeping included? Yes, daily housekeeping is included. We add a KES 5,000 per stay Cleaning Fee in addition to the above rates to cover cleaning etc after Check-out.
  • Is personal laundry included? No, personal laundry is not included, but our Housekeeper can do this for you at a cost of KES 1,000 per load, including ironing and returning the items within 24 hours. Dry cleaning can be arranged externally if needed.
  • Is there a minimum stay? The minimum stay is 2 nights all year except between 15th December and 6th January when the minimum stay is 5 nights.
  • Do you offer a Chef? Yes, we can provide a Chef who will cook delicious local meals. The charge is KES 2,900 per day, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All food ingredients are an extra cost paid locally.
  • Is there back-up electrical power? Yes, there is an inverter-based back-up system providing limited emergency power for up to 6 hours, as well as an on-site generator for longer power cuts.
  • Is the area safe? Yes, Watamu is very safe and secure. The Cottages sit within a walled compound with a dedicated entrance and Security Guard. CCTV covers all external areas for added security.
  • Do you allow smoking? Smoking is not allowed in the bedrooms but is permitted in the outside areas.
  • Is the area safe for Children and Infants? Yes, it is safe. We have a small baby cot available on request and can provide a baby-sitter if needed.
